How To Fix The 'DNS server isn't responding or DNS server unavailable

How to fix DNS not server not responding or DNS server unavailable.

1. Command prompt:

Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.

Now run below commands one by one.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /all
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Ipconfig


netsh int ip set DNS
netsh winsock reset

Ipconfig


2. Global DNS

If you are facing issues with the internet and while troubleshooting if you are getting DNS not server not responding, DNS server not available so we can add global DNS or google DNS manually in the system and will fix the no internet.

How to add global DNS 


Open the Run while holding the Win+R key and Type NCPA.CPL. Check out how your computer is connected with the internet either with wifi or cable. Updating the global DNS is the same for the wireless and wired connection we just have to open the network adapter properties.

So right-click on the network icon and go to the properties.



Find internet protocol version 4 and double click on or select it and click on properties on the same window.

Open it and go to " use the following DNS server"  in preferred DNS "8.8.8.8" alternate DNS  "8.8.4.4"


Now click on ok. Check if the internet is working or not it should fix it but in case it won't work 

Try restarting the router but if it still doesn't work than we need to reset the router .


How to reset the router:


  • Find the Reset button on the back of your router
  • With the router powered on, use the paperclip or similar object to press and hold the Reset button for 15 seconds
  • Wait for the router to fully reset and power back onRouter reset
The router’s default factory settings have been restored. Reconfigure your router and update your Wi-Fi devices to use the same customized Wi-FI settings or router will change to default wifi settings. You can also log into your router to restore factory settings. For detailed instructions check the router manuals.
